Jillion, Westerly Centaur 26', set off from Hayling Island, UK on the 12th of July 2013 on a mission to circumnavigate the globe. Crossing the vast and dangerous waters of the Bay of Biscay, A TranAtlantic, and working its way through the Caribbean it now faces the choice to continue its voyage or find a safe harbour.
No complaints. Wind and waves from behind us. The first few days the waves were a bit from the side, a bit ruff, but doable since we were fresh out the gate. The uv strip ripped off the genoa, and the win d turbine went overboard, but both problems were realized before departure so they are being tended to now. 100 miles a day sounds good to me aswell, hopefully we can maintain across the Atlantic, maybe improve? Well see.
No big problems and 100 miles per day must be rather pleasing. Very good.
